about

Parkinson White & Kyle Cook arrive for a Terrorhythm debut in the shape of their collaborative E.P. - Sapphire.

17 year old Scotsman Parkinson White and Nottingham beatsmith Kyle Cook may be relative new boys to many, but their tracks have been gathering some rapid pace in the past few months, ever since their first plays on Plastician's Rinse FM show.

The E.P. kicks off with Temple, and the nostalgic sounds every 80's baby will remember - the loading of the legendary Nintendo game, Zelda. This one teases in for a few moments before erupting into a cocktail of synths and bass, I'm struggling for words to describe that switch, and I'm sure after a first listen, you too will be lost for description of it.

Following up Temple is Sapphire, the title track for the E.P.

A futuristic approach on some classic drum sampling, paired up with more of those luscious purple tones just about sums up this one. Hitting that 147 bpm mark, this one is sure to find it's way into a wide variation of DJ sets in the coming months.

Closing out the E.P. is Parkinson White's solo addition, Cherry Lipz. Cute synth work, and some ever so subtly swung drum lines is the order of the day here - this one has a summery feel to it, but with the bite of those wintery tones to keep it moving.

Parkinson White and Kyle Cook are definitely two names to keep your eyes on for the future....
